Council Minutes of 3-20-2018 <br />Ordinance 2018-19 introduced by Councilwoman Williamson on behalf of herself, <br />Council President Jones and Councilwoman Hemann was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 561.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "Criminal Activity Nuisances Declared" of Chapter 561 entitled <br />"Criminal Activity Nuisances" in order to remove domestic violence/protection order as <br />nuisance activities subject to recovery of enforcement costs, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2018-19 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2018-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon City streets, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and <br />best bidder. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-20 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2018-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of demolition and construction contracts at the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) to <br />provide for a new metal pre -fabricated building, located east of Building No. 10, <br />including new steel roofing for said building and to unify with adjoining structures, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and <br />best bidder. Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Resolution 2018-23 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2018-24 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />transportation and disposal of bio -solids from the wastewater treatment plant and, <br />following the approval by the Board of Control, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement with the lowest and best bidder. Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution 2018-24 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2018-26 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to advertise for bids <br />for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the 2018 Sidewalk <br />Program, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Division of Engineering, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the <br />same with the lowest and best bidder. <br />Resolution 2018-32 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase a new 2018 Ford F-350 truck from Valley <br />Ford Truck, including a plow blade from Best Truck Equipment, at a combined cost of <br />$35,503.00, through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to <br />execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase, and declaring an <br />emergency.
