plans contain deductibles, co -pays, co-insurance benefits that are no less than those contained in <br />Appendix B. <br />25.04 Expected cost or premium is defined as the cost of all medical, hospital, prescription drug <br />and related fees, including but not limited to, administration fees. <br />25.05 The employer reserves the right to establish all plans, enrollment periods and regulations. <br />25.06 The Employer will provide a pretax program for the Employees' contribution to health <br />insurance. <br />ARTICLE 26 JURY OR WITNESS PAY <br />26.01 An employee called for and serves jury duty shall be granted a leave of absence for the <br />period of jury service and will be compensated at full pay for absences necessarily caused by the <br />jury duty. The employee shall be entitled to retain jury pay received as reimbursement for <br />expenses incurred in performing jury duty. An employee who is required to be absent from <br />scheduled work to serve as a witness on an Employer related issue will be paid for time lost from <br />scheduled straight time work. An employee who is called as a witness due to his part-time <br />employment in the area of public law enforcement with the City of North Olmsted shall receive <br />his regular rate of pay from the Employer. <br />ARTICLE 27 SAFETY AND HEALTH <br />27.01 The Employer and the Union recognize that each party must comply with the applicable <br />state and federal laws with respect to safety and health. The Employer shall continue to make <br />reasonable provisions for the safety and health of its employees. <br />A. Required personal protective equipment shall be issued to regular full-time <br />employees and shall be replaced if the equipment is worn out and is returned to <br />the Employer for replacement. <br />An employee who does not return the equipment will be charged for the <br />replacement cost, except in cases, <br />(1) In which the equipment was destroyed by accidental conditions beyond <br />the employee's control in the work area, or; <br />(2) If the equipment has been stolen and the Employer has failed to supply the <br />employee with a place to lock up his equipment. <br />B. A safety committee consisting of two (2) representatives from management and <br />two (2) safety representatives appointed by the local union may confer as <br />necessary for the purpose of attempting to maintain safe working conditions. <br />27.02 In the event an employee reasonably believes that a situation is unsafe, the employee <br />shall notify his supervisor immediately; the supervisor shall investigate the situation on the same <br />20 <br />
