represents a two and one half (2.5%) percent increase in 2018, a two and one half (2.5%) percent <br />increase in 2019 and a two (2%) percent increase in 2020. (The Employer shall compute <br />overtime separately from straight time and shall show the overtime and straight time separately <br />on the employee's pay stub. Additionally, the Employer shall compute and show on the <br />employee's pay stub his accrued sick leave and vacation time.) <br />34.02 All employees shall be paid by direct deposit. <br />34.03 All employees upon employment shall be placed on the wage schedule. Thereafter, <br />such employee shall advance to the next higher step on each subsequent anniversary date of hire <br />or promotion until the employee reaches the maximum step. <br />34.04 Any employee who requests and receives a voluntary demotion shall be placed at that <br />step in the wage schedule that most closely equals the employee's rate prior to demotion. <br />Employees who are promoted shall be placed at the step that corresponds with years of service <br />earned since their last hire date. <br />34.05 All employees in the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Systems Employees who obtain <br />a Class I, II, or III license shall receive the license incentive contained herein. Employees will <br />receive an additional fifty ($.50) cents per hour for acquiring a Class I License and an additional <br />fifty-five ($.55) cents per hour each for acquiring a. Class 11 and Class III License. <br />34.06 Each employee shall have the right to convert overtime hours into compensatory time <br />on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Employees shall convert no more than eighty (80) hours of overtime <br />into compensatory time per calendar year. <br />34.07 Employees may have the right to take compensatory time with a 48-hour advance <br />notice and when the time off does not interfere with the operation of the Service Department. <br />The taking off of such compensatory time shall be subject to the approval of the Service Director <br />or his designee. Overtime shall be converted to compensatory time at the current rate of pay plus <br />longevity on a dollar-for dollar basis. <br />34.08 An employee shall be paid for unused, accumulated compensatory time at his or her <br />current rate of pay plus longevity at the end of each calendar year. An employee or his estate <br />shall be paid for unused, accumulated compensatory time at the time of disability, retirement or <br />death at the basic hourly rate of pay for his workweek plus longevity if applicable. <br />34.09 Compensatory time shall be taken in eight (8) hour blocks or in four (4) hour blocks at <br />the start or end of a shift. All compensatory time requests that are not in compliance with <br />requirements set forth in this contract will be subject to the approval of the Service Director or <br />his designee on a case by case basis. <br />ARTICLE 35 PREMIUM PAY <br />35.01 Effective at the beginning of the first full payroll period subsequent to the execution of <br />this Agreement.
