Council Minutes of 5-15-2018 <br />• Former Police Officer Jennifer Hayner received a determination for Workers' <br />Compensation Benefits. It has been appealed and will go to a District Officer <br />Hearing on May 22nd <br />• The City also has received two grievances from the FOP. The first is Lieutenant <br />Robert Flynn, which is an overtime/sick leave issue. The City denied the request <br />and it is heading to a hearing. The second is a grievance regarding overtime/sick <br />leave notice and whether you must give 48 hours advance notice or not along with <br />the circumstances in which it is required. The City feels the contract is clear and it <br />wasn't followed and therefore did not pay it. This will also be going to a hearing. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• The March 2018 Summary and Detail Financial Report along with the Quarterly <br />Review was sent via e-mail on May 3rd to Council and Directors. If Council has <br />any questions, feel free to contact me. <br />Councilwoman Williamson Vice Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare <br />Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 7:10 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Williamson and Limpert; Council members <br />Glassburn and Hemann; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and <br />guests. <br />• Discussed first was liquor permit 82191440015, which is a transfer permit for Sky <br />Fuel Inc., doing business as BP Unimart 257 located at 23425 Lorain Road. There <br />were no objections from the police department and the committee voted 2-0 not to <br />object. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to not object to liquor permit 82191440015 Sky Fuel <br />Inc., doing business as BP Unimart 257. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Limpert and passed unanimously. Liquor permit 82191440015 not objected to by a vote <br />of 6-0. <br />• Discussed next was liquor permit 4177920 for JJP Spirits Inc., located at 25141 <br />Lorain Road. This was a two-part new permit. The first part is for a liquor agency <br />contract and the second is for a carry out liquor license. There were no objections <br />to either part from the police department and the committee voted not to object 2- <br />0. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to not object to both the liquor agency contract and <br />carry out liquor license parts of liquor permit 4177920 JJP Spirits Inc. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously.
