Council Minutes of 9-18-2018 Officer Carbone said he also wanted to thank the School Board for making an investment in him. Director of Law Gareau: • Tomorrow morning, the City will be meeting with the FOP on the Fox arbitration matter. • There is a brief due in the Court of Appeals, which the City has received an extension on and that is also regarding the Fox unemployment matter. • The Law Department worked with Becki in the Mayor's office on the Lamier house at 5563 Burns Road. Council passed a Resolution at the last meeting on this matter. The State of Ohio came out and meet with everyone and provided a presentation. It was a good experience and this appears to be wrapping up very soon. • As an update on the Saumer house that I told you about at the last meeting, it has been torn down and is no more. Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Limpert and Williamson; Council members Glassburn, Hemann, and Schumann; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and guests. • Discussed first was Liquor Permit 1125922, a new liquor permit for Burntwood Tavern North Olmsted LLC. There was no objection by the police department. The committee recommended to not object by a vote of 3-0. Councilman Brossard made a motion to not object to Liquor Permit 1125922 Burntwood Tavern North Olmsted LLC. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Liquor Permit 1125922 Burntwood Tavern North Olmsted LLC., not objected to 6-0. • Discussed next was Liquor Permit 7949168, a transfer from MSN Brookpark LLC., to Seeing Double LLC. There was no objection by the police department. The committee recommended to not object by a vote of 3-0. Councilman Brossard made a motion to not object to Liquor Permit 7949168. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Liquor Permit 7949168 not objected to 6-0. • Discussed last was Resolution 2018-88. A Resolution declaring the opioid epidemic a public nuisance in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency.
