Sections <br />of flashing shall have an end lap of not less than four (4) inches. <br />The minimum weight of asphalt shingles shall be two hundred forty pounds.. <br />Sec. R-809-Wood Shingles (Deleted). <br />Sec. R-904-Termination (Amended). Chimneys shall extend at least two (2) feet <br />above the highest point where they pass the roof of a building and at least two(L) <br />feet higher than any portion of the building within fifteen (15) feet. <br />Sec. R-906-Flue Lining (Material) (Amended). Masonry chimneys shall be lined <br />with fire clay flue liners not less than five-eiglrths (5/8) of an inch in thickness or <br />with other approved liner of material that will resist, without cracking or so&ening, <br />a temperature of eighteen hundred (1800) degrees. <br />Exception: Masonry chimneys may be constructed without flue liners when walis are <br />at least eight (8) inches in thickness, solid. <br />Sec. P-2104-Water Piping (Amended). The first sentence of Section P-2104 is <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Water pdpe and fittings shall be of brass, copper, cast iron, galvanized malleable <br />iron, galvanized wrought iron or galvanized steel. <br />1305.05 SUPPLEMENTAL STANDARDS. <br />The following standards are gupplemental to and shall be construed to constitute <br />a part of the Une and Two Family Dwelling Code adopted under Section 1305. 01: <br />(a) Posting Notice of Application. Immediately upon application for a building permit <br />signed by the owner or his authorized agent, which application shall be Sled with <br />the Building Commissioner on forms furnished by him, the Building Commissioner <br />shall cause to have erected upon the property for which a permit is app]ied for <br />a sign which shall have a notice thereon as follows: <br />"A building permit applied for, plans and plat showing the elevation and grading to <br />be as established on file in the office of the Building Commissioner, City Hall. " <br />S1uch sign shall remain on the premises for which a permit has been applied for, <br />for a period of ten days after the date of the application for the permit. In <br />all instances in which th,-- proposed construction increases the area or cubic <br />content of a building, or involves a building covered by a roof, or such application <br />is for original construction of a roofed structure designed for use as a shelter for <br />persons, animals, chattels or property of any kind, or a combination of such <br />uses, or if such construction effects drainage unto or over an adjoining property <br />in any way, the ten day waiting period referred to shall be mandatory. <br />It shall be mandatory that upon making an application for a permit required under <br />the Dwelling Code, other than for electrical work, plumbing work, heating <br />applicances and the installation of any other equipment in a structure governed <br />by such Code, that the plans and specifications shall be filed with the Building <br />Commissioner and remain available for inspection by any persori at the office of the <br />Building Commissioner during the ten day waiting period together with a plat of such <br />property for which application for a building permit is requested.
