Council Minutes of 1-15-2019 members Glassburn, Limpert and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests. • Discussed was Resolution 2019-13. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning & Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the Springvale Roof & HVAC Project, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Department of Planning and Development, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Questions were asked and answered. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on "Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 7:11 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Williamson and Limpert; Council members Glassburn, Hemann, Kearney and Schumann; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests. • Discussed was Resolution 2019-12. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept a donation of a precision rifle scope from Brian Lanckiewicz, valued at $2,900.00, to be used by the North Olmsted Police Department, and deployed by the Westshore Enforcement Bureau Sniper Team and declaring an emergency, as amended. Per Director Glauner this is a donation of a scope that will improve the efficiencies of the deer culling program in addition to be utilized by the Westshore Enforcement Bureau. It is donated by Mr. Lanckiewicz who also allows North Olmsted Police to test rifles on his Columbia Station property. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council with suspension. Councilman Brossard made a motion to amend Resolution 2019-12 to add the emergency clause. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously.
