Council Minutes of 1-15-2019 <br />members Glassburn, Limpert and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, <br />Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & <br />Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2019-13. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Planning & Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br />provide construction services for the Springvale Roof & HVAC Project, as <br />detailed in the specifications on file in the Department of Planning and <br />Development, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Questions were <br />asked and answered. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. <br />Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on "Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at <br />7:11 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Williamson and Limpert; Council <br />members Glassburn, Hemann, Kearney and Schumann; Council President Jones; Mayor <br />Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of <br />Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2019-12. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept <br />a donation of a precision rifle scope from Brian Lanckiewicz, valued at $2,900.00, <br />to be used by the North Olmsted Police Department, and deployed by the <br />Westshore Enforcement Bureau Sniper Team and declaring an emergency, as <br />amended. Per Director Glauner this is a donation of a scope that will improve the <br />efficiencies of the deer culling program in addition to be utilized by the <br />Westshore Enforcement Bureau. It is donated by Mr. Lanckiewicz who also <br />allows North Olmsted Police to test rifles on his Columbia Station property. The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council with suspension. <br />Councilman Brossard made a motion to amend Resolution 2019-12 to add the emergency <br />clause. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously. <br />Yes: Brossard, Williamson, Limpert, Hemann, Glassburn, Kearney, Schumann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2019-12 amended 7-0. <br />Councilwoman Williamson Chairwoman of the Building, Zoning and Development <br />Committee: <br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at <br />7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Williamson, Limpert and Schumann; <br />Council members Brossard and Hemann; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Safety & Service <br />Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber, applicant and guests. <br />• Discussed was CMS 18-12616 Porter Pet Hospital, located at 27529 Lorain Road. <br />The proposal consists of a building addition, landscaping and lighting changes to <br />the existing building.
