<br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. Present were
<br />committee members Schumann, Brossard and Kearney; Council members Glassburn,
<br />Hemann, Limpert and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of
<br />Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service
<br />Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests.
<br />• Discussed first was Ordinance 2019-2. An Ordinance providing for the issuance
<br />and sale of not to exceed $165,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of
<br />bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of acquiring and installing
<br />telecornmunications system equipment and network fiber, together with necessary
<br />appurtenances and work incidental thereto, for use in carrying out city services
<br />and functions; and declaring an emergency. The original note from 2018 was
<br />$261.500, after last year's pay down this renewal note stands at $165,000.
<br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2019-3. An Ordinance providing for the issuance
<br />and sale of not to exceed $1,565,000 of notes, in anticipation of' the issuance of
<br />bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of improving Alden Drive and certain other
<br />designated streets between certain termini in the City by reconstructing and
<br />rehabilitating the pavement base, adjusting, constructing and reconstructing catch
<br />basins, curbs and curb ramps, manholes and utility valve and monument boxes,
<br />where necessary, preparing the surface and resurfacing, in each case together with
<br />necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto; and declaring an
<br />emergency. This originally was $1,728,000, after the 2018 pay down the balance
<br />will be $1,565,000.
<br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2019-4. An Ordinance providing for the issuance
<br />and sale of not to exceed $325,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of
<br />bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of acquiring and installing computer
<br />hardware and software, together with necessary appurtenances and work
<br />incidental thereto, for use in carrying out City services and functions. This is for
<br />computer upgrades.
<br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2019-5. An Ordinance providing for the issuance
<br />and sale of not to exceed $1,460,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of
<br />bonds, to provide funds to pay costs of renovating, rehabilitating, remodeling,
<br />adding to, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving buildings and facilities
<br />in the City's municipal complex, together with necessary appurtenances and work
<br />incidental thereto. This is 1 -or police station upgrades regarding the roof and
<br />HVAC. It also has $300,000 for the City I lalI HVAC.
