Council Minutes of 2-19-2019 <br />City of North Olmsted. June 30th is the date and July 7th is the rain date. Both <br />Moen and the mall are on board. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to <br />Council with suspension. <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 7:13 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Schumann, Brossard and Kearney; Council members Glassburn, <br />Ilemann and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & <br />Development Lieber and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2019-22. A Resolution dispensing with the RFQ <br />process and authorizing the Mayor to renew a contract with M133 Consulting LLC <br />for the purpose of providing economic development consulting services to the <br />City. Mr. Myers, the Principal of M113 has been in a relationship with the City <br />since 2007. The company has been contracting with the City since 2010. This <br />would be a two-year contract. Director I,ieber shared Mr. Myers accomplishments <br />and how his billing has actually decreased, while his value has increased. The <br />committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0. <br />Director of Law Gareau asked for a point of order. Ile pointed that Ordinance 2019-20 <br />had been recommended by the committee with amendments and there needs to be a <br />motion to amend the legislation on the floor and when the legislation goes to second <br />reading it needs to be read as amended. The Ordinance is listed as amended, but the <br />agenda did not list it as amended. <br />Councilman Schumann moved to amend Ordinance 2019-20. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Schumann, Brossard, IIemann, Kearney, AVilliamson, I,impert, Glassburn <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2019-20 amended 7-0. <br />Councilman I_,impert Chairman of the Streets and Transportation Committee: <br />"I'he Streets and Transportation Committee met on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 7:27 <br />p.m. Present were committee members l ,impert, Kearney and Glassburn; Council <br />members Brossard, Ilemann, Schumann and Williamson; Council President Jones; <br />Mayor Kennedy, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service <br />Glauner, Assistant Law Director O'Malley and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Ordinance 2019-25. An Ordinance declaring the necessity and <br />intention of the City of North Olmsted to appropriate a permanent casement for <br />traffic control equipment, specifically 0.04 acres as part of Permanent Parcel No. <br />236-14-001, located on land owned by SRC facilities LLC (aka Sears), and <br />further authorizing the Director of Law, if necessary, to commence eminent <br />domain proceedings against Sears in probate court to acquire said easement, and <br />declaring an emergency.
