Council Minutes of 2-19-2019 <br />the easement is likely delayed due to Sears filing bankruptcy. The City's Law <br />Department has been coordinating with Sears' legal representatives. Mr. <br />O'Malley noted the timeline was pushed back from March to August which <br />provides time to work through the process over the coming months, but the City <br />could commence eminent domain proceedings at any time if it fails to acquire the <br />easement. The committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0. <br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2019-26. An Ordinance accepting a traffic control <br />equipment easement located on property owned by 'Tech Park Associates, LTD. <br />and designated as Permanent Parcel Numbers 236-10-002 and 236-10-011 by <br />Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, and declaring an emergency. There were no <br />questions and the committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0. <br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2019-27. An Ordinance accepting a traffic control <br />equipment casement located on property owned by North Olmsted City Schools <br />Board of I?ducation and designated as Permanent Parcel Numbers 235-16-007 and <br />235-16-008 by Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, and declaring an <br />emergency. The Assistant Law Director explained there was no additional cost to <br />this easement and the committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0. <br />• Discussed last was Resolution 2019-28. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to <br />purchase a new 2019 Ford h'-550 truck from Valley Ford "Truck, including a plow <br />blade from Best Truck I?quipment, at a combined cost of $69,52595, through the <br />State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor 10 execute all contract <br />documents. This was a continuation of conversations from Budget Hearings and <br />the Mayor noted there was not a need for suspension and would be purchased <br />through the standard State Purchase Program. ']'he committee voted to <br />recommend to Council 3-0. <br />Councilwoman TIemann Chairwoman of the Environmental Control Committee: <br />The Environmental Control Committee met on "Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 7:40 p.m. <br />Present were committee members IIemann, Glassburn and Williamson; Council members <br />Brossard, Kearney and Limpert; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of <br />Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Assistant Director of' Law <br />O'Malley and guests: <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2019-23. A Resolution ratifying the Solid Waste <br />Management Plan Update for 2019-2033, as prepared and adopted by the <br />Cuyahoga County Solid Waste Management Board. This is a renewal of the <br />original County Solid Waste Plan prepared in 1994. It involves 52 districts in the <br />county regarding long range plans to increase recycling and reduce reliance on <br />landfills. The committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0. <br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2019-24. An Ordinance accepting a Conservation <br />Easement to the City of North Olmsted [or preservation of riparian floodplain, <br />pursuant to North Olmsted Codified Chapter 926, and declaring an emergency. <br />This is a subject matter resulting from a previously approved development plan <br />for the North Olmsted City School District Board of Education.
