The <br />committee voted to hold in committee 3-0. <br />Councilwoman Williamson Chairwoman of the Building, Zoning & Development <br />Committee: <br />The Building, Zoning & Development Committee met on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at <br />8:32 p.m. Present were committee members Williamson, Limpert and Schumann; <br />Council members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann and Kearney; Council President Jones; <br />Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, <br />Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & <br />Development Lieber and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Ordinance 2019-77. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Planning & Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from <br />qualified individuals to provide Building Official and Master Plans Examiner <br />services to the City, and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the <br />Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the individual or firm selected in <br />the S.O.Q. process. This Ordinance will allow the City to solicit statements of <br />qualifications from qualified professionals to provide building official services <br />and master plans examiners services to the City. The City has utilized a consultant <br />for these specialized services since 2013 and the current contract expires at the <br />end of this year. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval to Council. <br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2019-78. An Ordinance amending the boundaries <br />of the Butternut Ridge Historic District. Director Lieber explained the update to <br />Chapter 165 of the Codified Ordinances created a process for amending the <br />boundaries of an existing district and increased the age criteria for qualifying <br />districts. Four properties will be removed from the district and boundaries have <br />been clarified to better conform to parcel lines where possible. The committee <br />voted 3-0 to recommend approval to Council. <br />Councilman Schumann Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 8:06 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Schumann, Brossard and Kearney; Council members Hemann, <br />Glassburn, Limpert and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director <br />of Finance Copfer, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Human Resources Gallo, <br />Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and <br />guests. <br />• Discussed was Ordinance 2019-74. An Ordinance authorizing the donation of <br />surplus and vacant real property to the Cleveland Metroparks, specifically <br />Permanent Parcel Nos. 233-18-028, 233-18-035, and 233-19-039, which were <br />acquired by and through the North Olmsted Land Reutilization Program (Land <br />Bank), subject to review and approval by the Director of Law as to form, and <br />further authorizing the Mayor to execute any required documentation and Deeds <br />3 <br />
