I am under the impression
that the lot will end up in our Landhank. I'm not sure it'] ann correct or not.
Director Ciareau said this started a long time ago, but it is a restricted piece of real estate
because of the flood plain. 'This did not cost the City, of North Olmsted anything. The way
the agreement was structured \whatever expenses were associated with this, the City wvas a
conduit to getting it done, but it was their project and whatever the costs were for
demolition would be on them and it was.
Councilman Limpert Chairman of the Streets and Transportation Committee:
The Streets &: Transportation Committee met on Tuesday. A Resolution to cooperate with the Director
of Transportation of the Ohio Department of l ransportation for a project to
upgrade traffic signals and the signal system along Brookpark Road, Great
Northern Boulevard, Columbia Road, Clague Road. 'The Planning Director
noted this is the third phase of the ODO I' lead 'Traffic Signaliation Project. The
signal plan was reviewed and questions were brought up about any future
considerations inn Clague Road and any plans on that. The Planning Director
followed up with me to let me know there should be no impact based on the scope
of the project based on where we are replacing poles versus where we are placing
signals. The committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0 with suspension to
support ODOT timelines.
ACIDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Jeff' Sturgeon
>092 W. 231
Mr. Sturgeon asked Councilman Limpert if there was any talk of improving traffic flow
on Clague gear I-480 during the Streets & Transportation meeting.
Mr. Limpert said it was brought up and it was part of the conversation in general about
widening the road im Clague. One oFthe advantages ofthe signals is the City has already
seen improvements in timing with the new signals and to have cameras to see the traffic
and adjust accordingly and we would expect the same here.
Mr. SturLeon said he drives that area all the time and traffic is a nightmare in the
morning. He said it would be better if the concrete islands would be removed and the
lanes widened. He said 40 years ago when the exit was put in no one ever dreamed the
