Council Minutes of 2-18-2020 <br />Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment. I think I speak for most of Council, if <br />not all saying we look forward to seeing how this experiment works and seeing future <br />reports on how it is working. <br />Ordinance 2020-18 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Sections 1359.08 and 1359.09 of Chapter 1359 of the Building <br />Code entitled "Maintenance of Unoccupied Commercial Buildings" in order to authorize <br />the Building Commissioner to enforce said sections as Chief Building Official of the City <br />of North Olmsted. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Williamson, Limpert, Hemann, Kelly, Glassburn <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2020-18 adopted 5-0. <br />Resolution 2020-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Tempest, Inc., to provide <br />design -build services for the ice area dehumidification, air handling and rink floor <br />modification, as part of the North Olmsted Recreation Center Ice Rink Project, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to execute said <br />contract. Councilman Kelly moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Kelly, Hemann, Williamson, Glassburn, Limpert <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2020-20 adopted 5-0. <br />Resolution 2020-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution declaring the necessity of the construction and repair of certain sidewalks in <br />the City of North Olmsted by the abutting property owners; the construction, repair, and <br />assessment of the costs of sidewalks in certain cases by the City, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. Resolution 2020-23 adopted 5-0. <br />Mr. Glassburn pointed out it was seconded by Councilman Kelly. <br />Resolution 2020-24 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for rock salt <br />for roadway ice and snow removal for use by the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in <br />specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of <br />Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder.
