Council Minutes of 2-18-2020 Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment. I think I speak for most of Council, if not all saying we look forward to seeing how this experiment works and seeing future reports on how it is working. Ordinance 2020-18 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An Ordinance amending Sections 1359.08 and 1359.09 of Chapter 1359 of the Building Code entitled "Maintenance of Unoccupied Commercial Buildings" in order to authorize the Building Commissioner to enforce said sections as Chief Building Official of the City of North Olmsted. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Williamson, Limpert, Hemann, Kelly, Glassburn No: None Motion carried. Ordinance 2020-18 adopted 5-0. Resolution 2020-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Tempest, Inc., to provide design -build services for the ice area dehumidification, air handling and rink floor modification, as part of the North Olmsted Recreation Center Ice Rink Project, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to execute said contract. Councilman Kelly moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Kelly, Hemann, Williamson, Glassburn, Limpert No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2020-20 adopted 5-0. Resolution 2020-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A Resolution declaring the necessity of the construction and repair of certain sidewalks in the City of North Olmsted by the abutting property owners; the construction, repair, and assessment of the costs of sidewalks in certain cases by the City, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kelly and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Limpert, Glassburn, Kelly, Hemann, Williamson No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2020-23 adopted 5-0. Mr. Glassburn pointed out it was seconded by Councilman Kelly. Resolution 2020-24 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for rock salt for roadway ice and snow removal for use by the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder.
