Special Council Minutes of 6-30-2020 <br />Mr. Sturgeon wanted to thank Council and said it was a pleasure working on the Charter <br />Review. He said the Commission put a lot of hours and discussion regarding potential <br />amendments. <br />Council President Jones thanked him and the Commission for the service they have <br />provided to the City. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2020-52 introduced by Mayor Kenned was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract to purchase a new Ford <br />F550/5500 Ford truck for use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant from Mtech Company <br />and to include installation of a maintainer crane assembly and incidental equipment from <br />Maintainer corporation, at a combined cost of $131,888.00, through the State Purchase <br />Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all contract documents. <br />Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Glassburn and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Hemann, Glassburn, Williamson, Kelly, Limpert, Schumann, Brossard <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2020-52 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2020-65 introduced by Mayor Kennedy on behalf of himself, Councilman <br />Glassburn and Councilwoman Hemann was given its third reading. An Ordinance <br />providing for the submission of an amendment to the electors of the City of North <br />Olmsted to Article VII, Section 3 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />purpose of eliminating the Parks and Recreation Commission and reassigning the duties <br />of the Commission to the administrative staff, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed 5-2. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Schumann, Limpert, Kelly, Hemann <br />No: Brossard, Williamson <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2020-65 adopted 5-2. <br />Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment. I would like to thank the 2020 Charter <br />Commission and Chairperson Sturgeon as well for all their hard work to deliver this <br />package of reforms to help move our City forward.
