Exhibit A: Chapter 1163 Signs (Current) <br />3. All parcels are permitted only one (1) ground sign or one (1) window sign to express a <br />"non-commercial opinion." The message on any non-commercial opinion sign may be <br />periodically changed, or the sign may be replaced with another non-commercial opinion <br />sign provided such replacement sign conforms to the size, height and location criteria <br />set forth herein. A ground sign shall not exceed eight (8) square feet in area per face, <br />and four (4) feet in height above grade, and shall be set back a minimum of fifteen (15) <br />feet from any public right-of-way. A window sign shall not exceed eight (8) square feet in <br />area. No non-commercial opinion sign may be illuminated. <br />4. All parcels are permitted an additional five (5) non-commercial opinion signs no earlier <br />than thirty (30) days before an election and shall be removed no later than one (1) week <br />following the election. Such additional signs shall not exceed eight (8) square feet in <br />area per face, not exceed four (4) feet in height above grade, and shall be set back a <br />minimum of fifteen (15) feet from every right of way. Such additional non-commercial <br />opinion signs may not be illuminated. <br />B. Temporary Signs on Non -Residential Property. <br />1. Regulations applicable to all temporary signs on non-residential property, except as <br />regulated by 1163.34(8)(4): <br />a. Type: The only types of temporary signs that are permitted are ground signs, wall <br />signs and banners. All other types of temporary signs are prohibited. <br />b. Location: Temporary ground signs shall not be permitted within five (5) feet of the <br />right-of-way, nor shall they be permitted in any required parking area, drive or <br />loading area. Temporary signs shall comply with all provisions of 1163.17. <br />Temporary wall signs shall not extend more than six (6) inches from any wall or <br />structure upon which they are erected. No signs shall be attached to light poles, <br />fixtures, mechanical equipment, fences, dumpsters, or landscaping. No signs shall <br />be attached to any permanent sign or sign base. <br />c. Maximum Area: Ground signs shall be a maximum of 12 square feet per side and 24 <br />square feet total area. Wall signs shall be building mounted single -faced signs and <br />shall not exceed 20 square feet in area. Banners shall be building mounted single - <br />faced signs and shall not exceed 20 square feet in area. <br />d. Maximum Height: Ground signs shall be a maximum of six (6) feet above grade. <br />Walls signs and banners shall not be attached to any roof or roof element and must <br />be a minimum of two (2) feet below the top of the surface to which they are attached. <br />e. Design: Temporary signs must be professional in appearance and fabricated from <br />durable and weatherproof materials. <br />f. Illumination of temporary signs is prohibited. <br />g. Changeable copy/text is prohibited on temporary signs. <br />2. Additional regulations applicable to temporary signs advertising approved development <br />under construction, the improvement, sale or lease of property that are erected on non- <br />residential property: <br />a. Maximum Number Permitted: One sign per street frontage is permitted, but not to <br />exceed two. <br />b. Maximum Permitted Duration: Must be removed one (1) week after sale of real <br />estate, the full occupancy of all leased space, or the completion of improvement. <br />3.
