Exhibit A: Chapter 1163 Signs (Current) <br />governments of the United States, State of Ohio, Cuyahoga County or City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />E. Hand-held signs not set on or affixed to the ground; <br />F. Temporary signs except those regulated by Section 1163.34(8)(3). <br />G. Monuments and markings within a cemetery; <br />H. Any address numbers required by the Section 1351.01 of the Codified Ordinances, unless <br />larger than six (6) inches in height. <br />(Ord. 2008-6. Passed 4-1-08.) <br />Section 1163.05 Application for Erection Permit <br />Application for an erection permit shall be made to the Building Commissioner and shall contain <br />and have attached the following information and/or documentation: <br />A. Name, address and telephone number of the applicant. <br />B. Location of building, structure, or lot to which or upon which the sign or other advertising <br />structure is to be attached or erected. <br />C. Drawing depicting the position of the sign or other advertising structure in relation to any <br />buildings, structures, streets or drives within a distance of 150 feet, measured in a straight <br />line without regard to intervening buildings, structures, streets or drives. <br />D. Two blueprints or ink drawings of the plans and specifications and method of construction <br />and attachment of the sign or advertising structure to the building or into the ground. <br />E. Name of the person erecting the sign or advertising structure. <br />F. Written consent of the owner of the building, structure, or land to which or on which the sign <br />or advertising structure is to be erected. <br />G. Any information, calculations, or documentation required by the State Building Code, the <br />local Building Code, and other applicable ordinances of the City. <br />(Ord. 2008-6. Passed 4-1-08.) <br />Section 1163.06 Permit Issuance <br />A. Upon receipt of a complete and accurate application for an erection permit complying with <br />Section 1163.05, the Building Commissioner shall examine the plans and specifications and <br />the premises upon which the proposed sign or advertising structure shall be erected. <br />B. Unless the applicant applies for a variance from a provision or provisions of the Zoning <br />Code in order to erect his sign or advertising structure as proposed, or the applicant <br />engages in other conduct which directly causes delay, the Building Commissioner shall <br />make a determination on the erection permit application within ten (10) business days. In the <br />event of a variance request, or other delay occasioned by conduct of the applicant, the <br />Building Commissioner's time for making a determination under this section shall be <br />extended for a period of time equal to the time period during which the variance application <br />is pending, or to the period of time of other delay occasioned by conduct of the applicant, <br />whichever is applicable. In case of an extenuating circumstance, the Building Commissioner <br />may apply to the Director of Public Safety for an extension of the time in which to complete <br />his review, not to exceed an additional ten (10) business days. In determining whether to <br />grant this extension, the Director of Public Safety shall consider the reasons offered in <br />Page 1163-4 City of North Olmsted Zoning Code <br />
