shall be paid for unused, accumulated compensatory time at the time of disability, retirement or <br />death at the basic hourly rate of pay for his workweek plus longevity if applicable. <br />34.09 Compensatory time shall be taken in eight (8) hour blocks or in four- (4) hour blocks at <br />the start or end of a shift. All compensatory time requests that are not in compliance with <br />requirements set forth in this contract will be subject to the approval of the Service Director or <br />his designee on a case by case basis. <br />ARTICLE 35 PREMIUM PAY <br />35.01 Effective at the beginning of the first full payroll period subsequent to the execution (if' <br />this .Agreement. The night shift premium for the Service Department shall be one dollar ($1.00) <br />and the rotating shift premium for the Wastewater "treatment Plant shall be one dollar ($1.00). <br />The rotating shift premium shall continue to he paid for all hours worked by employees on a <br />rotating shift. <br />1, .02 L°mployee"s within the WasteNvpater Treatment plant shall receive a premium of two <br />($2.00) dollars per hour for all hours assigned by management and actually perform duties and <br />functions ofan "actino foreman".All such employee's that have been assigned by management <br />to function as an `"acting foreman" shall be required to perform all duties and functions of a <br />-foreman- including file application and use of'independent judgment. hI no event shall an <br />employee be assigned duties and functions as an "actino foreman'` irr excess ofthirty consecutive <br />working days unless the assignment is a result of the following conditions: <br />(a) to fill a vacancy- caused by sickness. injury or other management approved <br />absences of a foreman. <br />(b) to provide vacation relief for a foreman. <br />(c) to accommodate the presence of seasonal, casual and part-time ernployees. <br />All employee's that are assiuned bvmanagement to perform as an -acting, G)reman' nettv <br />be required to perforin all the job duties of his classification in addition to the duties required of <br />an "acting t'oreman" during tabs perii)d uftime. <br />35.03 All Laborer A. Senior Building Maintenance. Mechanics and employees in Waste Water <br />Treatment Systems, and Maintenance Mechanics wage rates include a fifteen ($.15) cents <br />payment in lieu ofthe above acting foreman premium. Employees assigned to perform these <br />duties will do so with no additional compensation. <br />35.04 I"he Employer shall make available all necessary training For employees at the <br />Wastewater Water plant to maintain their respective licenses. If Employees attend classes dUrin <br />their normal work hours, there will be no loss of regular pay. the Ltriployer will not compensate <br />employees for attending classes outside of normal work hours. Employer will pav for mileagc <br />and for one meal not to exceed ten ($10) dollars. <br />5 <br />
