twenty (120) hours per each year of this agreement and can be cashed in at any time throughout the year. 6.02 Each employee shall have the right to convert overtime hours into compensatory time with the approval of the Police Chief or his designee on a dollar -for -dollar basis. Ianployees shall be paid for all compensatory time accumulated in excess of four hundred eighty hours (480) on the neat scheduled pay. Employees may have the right to take compensatory time when the time off docs not interfere with the operation of the Police Department. The taking off of such compensatory time shall be subject to the approval of the Police Chief or his designee. Overtime shall be converted to compensatory time at the current rate of pay plus longevity on a dollar for dollar basis. An Employee or his estate shall he paid for unused, accumulated compensatory time at the time of separation at a Basic I lourly Rate of Pay for his workweek plus longevity if applicable. Compensatory time shall be taken in a one ( I ) hour minimum block and thereafter % 1101,11- increments, ourincrements, except at the start or end ofa shift. Iialf (!:2) hour increments may be used at the start or end of shift. 6.03 Any employee who qualifies for overtime by virtue of the provisions of Section 1 hereof shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours when required to report for extra duty over and above his regular work day and work week. Such an employee shall also be paid a minimum of two (2) hours for appearance at the Rocky River Municipal Court. A minimum of four (4) hours for appearance at the Grand .fury, Common Pleas Court or Juvenile Court when the same are required, and are also at a time other than the employee's regular work tour. The compensation for the aforesaid hours will be at time and one-half (1 iz). 6.04 The second full pay period in January, April. July and October of each year of this agreement, each employee shall be paid for all overtime hours accumulated in excess ofone hundred twenty (120) hours for the three (3) calendar month period prior to the second full pay period in January, April, July, and October of each year of this agreement. Any payment as set forth above shall be paid at the rate of pay applicable to each employee according to his classification, and payments shall include longevity earned. 6.05 At the E'mployee's choice, any employee being changed in rank shall choose to either be paid for all overtime, compensatory time in excess of one hundred twenty (120) hours at the applicable rate of pay, or have their total number of hours converted to reflect their change in rank. After conversion. anything in excess of one hundred twenty, (120) hours shall then be paid at the new applicable rate of pay.
