Promotional Assessi-nents for Police find vire Coinr and Staff <br />In advance of the promotional assessment process, PRADCO will conduct one meeting <br />with the Mayor, Safety Director, HR Director, and/or other city leaders to discuss the <br />requirements of the role and reviewjob descriptions and any other relevant information. <br />PRADCO will set candidate(s) up to complete a battery of Internet -based assessments that <br />provide a work sample and information as to how the person will behave and perform in the <br />new position. The battery will include: <br />w Leadership Assessment which includes an emotional intelligence component <br />r PRADCO Survey <br />► Critical Thinking Problem Salving Test <br />The Leadership Assessment contains behavioral statements in a forced -choice format. The <br />PRADCO Survey contains open-ended questions, a ranking exercise, a social style checklist, short <br />essay questions and a sentence completion section. <br />Candidates are given unique passwords to complete the exercises online through any <br />computer or mobile device. There are no time limits for these assessments. <br />Candidates will be scheduled for an appointment with PRADCO either face-to-face or virtually <br />to complete an assessment Interview. The Assessment Interview will be conducted by a <br />PRADCO professional(s) trained in municipal assessments. The interviewer will have reviewed <br />the candidate's online battery and will use the interview time to learn more about the <br />candidate's background as well as to clarify any information contained in the online <br />assessment. We will also evaluate first-hand the candidate's interpersonal versatility, <br />communication skills, ability to influence and ability to think and respond quickly to situations. <br />Once the above Assessment steps have been completed, the PRADCO professionals will <br />provide a detailed report back to the city four (4) days after interviewing the last candidate <br />which contains an overall score or degree of fit and list of candidate strengths and <br />developmental needs in the areas of Motivation, Leadership, Work Approach, Interpersonal <br />Style and Decision-making. <br />PRADCO will provide consultative services to the City on an as needed basis throughout <br />any Police and Fire promotional assessment process including but not limited to: <br />• Providing guidance in formulating the structure of the recruitment process. <br />• Assisting the HR Director in vetting candidates. <br />PRADCO <br />Police and Fire Assessment & Consulting Proposal for City of North Olmsted 8 <br />
