Council Minutes of 1-5-2021 <br />Skate Month in January. Additionally, the calendar for February Heart Month is <br />being worked on. Learn to Skate and Learn to Swim are through the winter <br />session and planning is going on for the spring and summer months now. <br />• The State of Ohio's $2.1 billion capital bill included an allocation of $100,000 for <br />improvements to North Olmsted's Clague Park. The City's application proposed <br />permanent restroom facilities and to complete a walking path loop. <br />Assistant Director of Law O'Malley: <br />• No Report. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• November month end reports were sent today. <br />• The CARES Act was finalized and it does allow monies to be expended <br />throughout 2021. The City doesn't really have money that isn't committed, but as <br />purchase orders clear up and final payments are made we may have some to re - <br />appropriate in the 2021 permanent budget. <br />Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at <br />7:02 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard and Williamson; Councilmembers <br />Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly and Schumann; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, <br />Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Planning and Community Development <br />Lieber, Assistant Director of Law O'Malley and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2020-155. A Resolution dispensing with the formal <br />RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with PRADCO <br />to provide pre-employment testing and police and fire promotional testing <br />services, and declaring an emergency. The contract will increase this year from <br />$1,700 to $1,900. The committee voted 2-0 to recommend to Council. <br />• Discussed next was Resolution 2020-156. A Resolution dispensing with the <br />formal RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with <br />Personnel Selection Services to provide entry level and written promotional <br />testing services pre-employment testing and police and fire promotional testing <br />services, and declaring an emergency. This service has been used for the past <br />three years and this is a renewal with a $50 increase from the last contract. The <br />committee voted 2-0 to recommend to Council. <br />Councilwoman Williamson asked for a moment of person privilege to ask a question <br />regarding the new lobby. In consideration of it opening next week as the Mayor <br />indicated, has it been decided where our receptionist will be sitting, because I noticed <br />there is not a space for her in that new plan? <br />Mayor Kennedy said he walked through there and there is a space for her. <br />Councilwoman Williamson asked where it was, because she did not see it. <br />Mayor Kennedy said when you walk in towards the lobby. <br />2 <br />
