Director of Finance Copfer: • Last week, the Auditor of State gave the City the Auditor of State Award with distinction as it is one of a small number of communities to receive the award. There are over 6,000 state and local governments and less than 5% get this award. Council President Jones, Committee of the Whole: The Committee of the Whole met on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Present were Councilmembers Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning and Community Development Lieber, IT Network Administrator Lundberg and guests. • The purpose of the meeting was to ask additional questions regarding the server shutdown the City experienced from the end of June until mid-July. Council is hopeful to see cyber security training set for employees and for the City server to be swiftly moved to the cloud. Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health & Welfare committee met on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 7:20 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Williamson and Limpert; Council members Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly and Schumann; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau and guests. • Discussed was liquor permit number 03207030440, Bob Evans Restaurants LLC, DBA as Bob Evans Restaurant 120 located at 25853 Lorain Road. There were no objections by the Police Department. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council to not object. Councilman Brossard moved to not object to liquor permit 03207030440 Bob Evans Restaurants LLC. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously.
