Council Minutes of 9-7-2021 <br />application deadline is September 30, 2021. To apply, Council would need to <br />amend and pass 2020-111 to authorize submission for that portion of the work. <br />Projects related to abbreviated applications are required to be complete within two <br />years of award. If awarded, the design would be rolled into the engineering of the <br />resurfacing project, which would begin in 2022. Cuyahoga County will cover <br />60% of design engineering. <br />Councilman Glassburn Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at <br />7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Glassburn, Schumann and Hemann; Council <br />members Brossard, Kelly and Williamson; Council President Jones; Director of Law <br />Gareau and Director of Planning & Community Development Lieber. <br />• Discussed were three appointments to the Arts Commission: Susan Begin, for the <br />term ending December 31, 2024; Ken Srail for the term ending December 31, <br />2023 and Beck Tesar for the term ending December 31, 2022. Each of the <br />nominees brought personal interest and involvement in the Arts in North Olmsted. <br />The committee voted 3-0 to recommend all three nominees to Council. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to approve the appointments to the Arts Commission of <br />Susan Begin for the term ending December 31, 2024, Ken Srail for the term ending <br />December 31, 2023 and Becky Tesar for the term ending December 31, 2022. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Schumann, Hemann, Kelly, Williamson, Brossard <br />No: None <br />Motion passed. All three appointed to the Arts Commission for their respective terms 6-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Kathleen O'Brien e-mailed to say something must be done before 2023 to improve safety <br />on Clague Road. She said the road is unsafe and it's impossible to ride a bike on it. She <br />said the road needs to have safety changes made immediately. <br />Dennis Lambert wrote regarding Director Gareau's comments in the Cleveland.com <br />article related to the Interim Safety/Service Director position. He believes the Director of <br />Law overstepped his authority related to this legislation.
