Council Minutes of 9-21-2021 <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />None. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2020-111 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development to make application to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted for funding for safety related improvements to <br />Clague Road; and further authorizing funds for the required local match; and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and to execute a contract for the <br />same, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Limpert moved to suspend <br />the rules requiring three readings as there is a September 30th deadline. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kelly and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Kelly, Brossard, Williamson, Glassburn, Hemann, Schumann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. Resolution 2020-111 adopted 7-0. <br />Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment. I am very glad to hear and see this made <br />it through committee last week in my absence. It is important we don't let other things <br />get in the way of that which can be done immediately or close to immediately to improve <br />the safety of Clague Road. <br />Resolution 2021-55 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission <br />and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Fiscal Officer. <br />Councilman Schumann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings as this was <br />heard in committee and there are time limitations involved.
