Council Minutes of 05-17-2022 <br />• Relayed notable statistics from the Rocky River Municipal Court Annual Report. <br />Mayor Jones on behalf of Director of Finance Copfer <br />• No Report. <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday., May 17 at 7 3 p.m. <br />Present were Committee Members Williamson, Kelly and Glassburn and Council Members <br />Hemann, Limpert, Gilchrist and Scarl, Mayor, Law Director Gareau and guests. <br />• Discussed Liquor License permit #8723385. TNH Gas Mart, Inc., DBA True North #365, <br />23385 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, after no objection from the Police <br />Department approval was recommended to Council by a vote of 3-0. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to approve Liquor License Permit #8723385, TNH <br />Gas Mart, Inc., DBA True North #365, 23385 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, <br />seconded by Councilman Kelly and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call <br />Yes: Williamson, Kelly, Glassburn, Limpert, Gilchrist, Scarl, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Approved Liquor License Permit #8723385 not objected to 7-0. <br />• Also discussed in Committee was O. 2022-42 to opt out of the State of Ohio's new <br />fireworks law. Motion made to recommend approval to Council and the motion passed <br />3-0. <br />• R. 2022-45 RFB Diesel Exhaust. Director Scofield stated these systems are necessary <br />to remove particulates in the air on the apparatus bay. Motion made to recommend the <br />approval of R 2022-45 to Council by a vote of 3-0. <br />• The last item discussed at Committee was O. 2022-46. North Olmsted is qualified to <br />receive a portion of the funds for the opioid settlement but must have a special revenue <br />account in place prior to the disbursement of funds. O. 2022-46 was recommended to <br />all of council by a vote of 3-0 and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7.44 p.m. <br />Councilwoman Hemann, Chairwoman of the Recreation. Public Parks and Buildings Committee: <br />The Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee met on Tuesday, May 4, 2022 at 7:15 <br />p.m. Present were Committee Members Hamann and Scarl and Council Members Gilchrist, <br />Kelly and Williamson, Mayor, Law Director Gareau and guests. <br />• Discussed O. 2022-38. Councilwoman Hamann explained the need to request <br />proposals for consulting services that is designed to conduct an investment grade <br />energy audit and enter into an energy savings contract. Chairperson Hemann made a <br />motion to recommend O. 2022-38 to Council which was seconded by Committee <br />Member Scar[, motion passed 2-0, and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7'.25 p.m. <br />Councilwoman Hamann asked for a moment to thank the Mayor and her Directors for being <br />diligent in seeking out these credits and looks forward to seeing more of them from the <br />Administration. <br />Councilman Glassburn.
