Council Minutes of 05-17-2022 <br />Becky Woodward <br />North Olmsted Dispatcher <br />Cleveland, OH <br />Stated she has worked for the City for 35 years and feels that regional dispatch will not care <br />about the City like she and the other dispatchers do. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2022-31 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Mad Bomber Fireworks Productions to <br />provide a fireworks display for the 2022 North Olmsted homecoming event, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert <br />and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call <br />Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Gilchrist, Hemann, Kelly, Williamson, Scarl <br />No None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2022-31 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2022-36 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance <br />Amending and re-establishing Section 171.04 of the Community Reinvestment Chapter of the <br />Administrative Code, entitled "Housing Officer Designated" in order to designate the Director of <br />Economic and Community Development as the Housing Officer. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert <br />and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Hemann, Kelly, Gilchrist, Scarl, Williamson <br />No None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-36 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2022-38 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance <br />authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to request proposals for <br />professional energy conservation services and consulting for reduction of City energy <br />consumption and utility costs.: further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of <br />Control, to enter into an agreement with the firm selected in the RFP process. <br />Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Scarl <br />and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call. <br />Yes'. Hemann, Scan, Limpert, Gilchrist, Kelly, Glassburn, Williamson <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-38 adopted 7-0. <br />Councilman Glassburn voted yes with a brief comment to echo Councilwoman Hemann's <br />remarks that this was a topic that has been brought up by Council both before this year and <br />during the budget and is excited that the Administration ran ahead with this on their own. <br />
