Councilman Glassburn, Councilman Kelly and Councilman <br />Scarl was given its third reading. An Ordinance opting out of House Bill 172 (H. B. 172) and <br />banning the discharge, ignition or explosion of fireworks in the City of North Olmsted, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilwoman Williamson and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call. <br />Yes: Glassburn, Williamson, Limpert, Scarl, Kelly, Gilchrist, Hemann <br />No None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-42 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2022-43 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance <br />authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to accept an Energized <br />Community Grant from the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council ("NOPEC) in the amount of <br />$82,505.00 for 2022, and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Grant Agreement with <br />NOPEC, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. A Resolution <br />introduced authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to install diesel <br />exhaust system improvements at Fire Stations 1 & 2 for the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in <br />the specifications on file with the Service Department, and further authorizing the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best <br />bidder, and declaring an emergency.
