Council Minutes of 06-21-2022 <br />Jeff Perry <br />4805 Lander Road <br />Orange Village, OH <br />Works for the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and represents the North Olmsted <br />Dispatchers. Feels this is the best group of dispatchers. Stated Chagrin Valley dispatch is not a <br />good place and has a high turnover. Feels as if things are being rushed through and would like <br />to slow things down. <br />Jeffrey Hajek <br />Fire Chief <br />Broadview Heights, OH <br />Chief Hajek believes Broadview Heights has a similar set-up to North Olmsted and stated they <br />moved their dispatch to CVD five years ago and have been extremely pleased with the job CVD <br />has done for them. Stated all of his dispatchers moved to CVD and believes all are still there. <br />Stated that their ISO rating used to be at 8.5, and has now been at a 10 for the last five years.. <br />which helps insurance rates. Stated the CVD technology allows them to get out the door faster. <br />Nick DiCicco <br />Director <br />Chagrin Valley Dispatch <br />Mr. DiCicco stated he is speaking to debunk some of things being said about his facility. He has <br />27 years as a law enforcement officer and is also a paramedic firefighterand takes police <br />safety very seriously and would never jeopardize the lives of a police officer, firefighter or <br />paramedic. Stated their turn -over rate is less than 4%, they have only terminated one <br />employee, and have a full-time staff of 110. Stated there was no wrong -doing in the Mr. Durbin <br />case, and invited anyone to call him details. Ohio is behind the times in regionalization and <br />assured everyone that everything will stay the same for the residents in North Olmsted. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved for to remove Resolution 2022-55 from Agenda. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Kelly and passed 5-2. <br />Roll Call. <br />Yes: Williamson, Kelly, Limpert. Scarl, Glassburn <br />No: Gilchrist, Hemann <br />Motion carried. Motion to remove Resolution 2022-55 from the Agenda passed 5-2. <br />Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment. In order for items to advance to second <br />reading they need to recommended or disfavorably recommended by Committee., that did not <br />happen, so that it is why it is coming off the Agenda, for that technical reason. <br />Councilwoman Williamson asked for a moment to comment after Councilman Glassburn's vote <br />with comment. Stating that if someone would have been in attendance to advise, it was a <br />procedural error on her part before she closed out the meeting. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2022-44 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading.
