Council Minutes of 08-02-2022 AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION Jeff Sturgeon 3092 W. 231' Street Wanted to thank the Administration for beginning work on W. 231' Street and inquired about the striping. He also asked to have the poles removed that residents are putting on the tree lawns. Lastly mentioned how nice the Clague Park bathrooms look. Director Kearney stated that per the City Engineer, the street will be striped the same way as it was originally. Director also stated he will view the poles being placed on the tree lawn and get back to Mr. Sturgeon. Dennis Lambert 25057 Carey Lane Inquired when the bridge that crosses over Rocky River, just east of Frostville will be operational again, as it has been blocked.. and removed in part, for more than a year. He read parts of his letter sent to Councilwoman Hemann on the subject, the entirety of said letter is attached to these Minutes. Councilwoman Hemann stated she is looking into and will get back to him. LEGISLATION Resolution 2022-63 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with CHIN Housing Partners for the purpose of administering ARPA funding for home repairs, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2022-64 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for excess insurance coverage for the City Health Care & Hospitalization Plans for 2023, and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said insurance coverage. Resolution 2022-65 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified individuals to provide Building Official and Master Plans Examiner Services to the City, and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the individual or firm selected in the S.O.Q. process, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2022-66 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q ) from qualified firms to serve as the City's Division of Engineering, and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the firm selected in the S.O.Q. process, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2022-67 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q ) from qualified individuals to serve as the City's Grant Writer: and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the individual selected in the S.O.Q. process, and declaring an emergency.
