Mentioned the two stories <br />communicated at Council that evening, and stating how Police and Fire did a great job, but that <br />both incidents started with dispatch. Further stated the community showed how important it is <br />to have the dispatch center local. <br />Marco Cuevas <br />3534 Beaumont Drive <br />Came to support the dispatchers, but spoke because he is unhappy that the grant for Ordinance <br />2022-68 is not available to non-profit organizationsas he has been a non-profit professional for <br />over a decade. Would urge that it be considered to include non -profits as well. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2022-63 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A resolution <br />dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with CHN <br />Housing Partners for the purpose of administering ARPA funding for home repairs, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilwoman Williamson and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call <br />Yes: Limpert, Williamson, Scan, Gilchrist, Hemann, Glassburn, Kelly <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2022-63 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2022-64 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance <br />authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for excess insurance coverage <br />for the City Health Care & Hospitalization Plans for 2023, and further authorizing the Mayor, <br />subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said insurance coverage. <br />Resolution 2022-65 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Safety to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O. Q.) from <br />qualified individuals to provide Building Official and Master Plans Examiner Services to the City, <br />and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a <br />contract with the individual or firm selected in the S.0 Q. process, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2022-66 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of <br />Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified firms to serve as the City's Division of Engineering, and <br />further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract <br />with the firm selected in the S.O.Q. processand declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2022-67 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of <br />Qualifications (S.O. Q.) from qualified individuals to serve as the City's Grant Writer, and further <br />
