Council Minutes of 08-16-2022 Jeff Perry Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association 4805 Lander Road Orange Village, OH Thanked Council and the Administration for keeping dispatch local. Mentioned the two stories communicated at Council that evening, and stating how Police and Fire did a great job, but that both incidents started with dispatch. Further stated the community showed how important it is to have the dispatch center local. Marco Cuevas 3534 Beaumont Drive Came to support the dispatchers, but spoke because he is unhappy that the grant for Ordinance 2022-68 is not available to non-profit organizationsas he has been a non-profit professional for over a decade. Would urge that it be considered to include non -profits as well. LEGISLATION Resolution 2022-63 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with CHN Housing Partners for the purpose of administering ARPA funding for home repairs, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed 7-0. Roll Call Yes: Limpert, Williamson, Scan, Gilchrist, Hemann, Glassburn, Kelly No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2022-63 adopted 7-0. Ordinance 2022-64 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for excess insurance coverage for the City Health Care & Hospitalization Plans for 2023, and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said insurance coverage. Resolution 2022-65 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O. Q.) from qualified individuals to provide Building Official and Master Plans Examiner Services to the City, and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the individual or firm selected in the S.0 Q. process, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2022-66 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified firms to serve as the City's Division of Engineering, and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the firm selected in the S.O.Q. processand declaring an emergency. Resolution 2022-67 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O. Q.) from qualified individuals to serve as the City's Grant Writer, and further
