Council Minutes of 09-20-2022 <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Bella Sin and David Kovatch <br />Best D**N Tacos <br />30111 Lorain Road <br />Ms. Sin and Mr. Kovatch wanted to inform Council as to the kind of burlesque variety show they <br />produce, as they had received a call from a woman impersonating a member of the North <br />Olmsted Law Department. Ms. Sin noted she has been working with the police department <br />since finding out the woman was not an employee of the City. Ms. Sin stated she was <br />concerned for the safety of the LGBTQIA Community and people of color, as there have been <br />some incidents of harassment. Mr. Kovatch, is the owner of Best D**N Tacos and came to <br />support Ms. Sin. He stated his intention was to spread love and tolerance in North Olmsted. <br />Mr. Limpert thanked Ms. Sin and Mr. Kovatch for raising awareness and stated he was pleased <br />to find the person calling was not a city employee. <br />Dennis Lambert <br />25057 Carey Lane <br />Mr. Lambert came to advise Council of the all the babies that have been born recently that will <br />cause a proliferation of babies going to school in the next four of five years, and advised that <br />Council needs to take proactive action and work with the North Olmsted School District. He <br />feels the school superintendent is a hired person, who doesn't live in this City and doesn't have <br />a vested interest. Mr. Limpert thanked Mr. Lambert for his comments but also stated a strong <br />opposition to his comments about the school superintendent. Mr. Limpert stated that in the <br />short time that he has been in office he has never seen a more engaged superintendent. The <br />Mayor also addressed Council to correct the record as well, stating that Superintendent David <br />Brandt is a resident of North Olmsted and further noting that his two daughters attend North <br />Olmsted High School. <br />Amy Flannery <br />6135 Winding Creek <br />Wanted to thank the water department for quickly handling a storm drainage issue she recently <br />had in her basement. Also noted that this is the first time that she has seen the schools and the <br />city working so closely together and wanted to openly state that it is very refreshing to see. <br />Barbara Kuhel <br />6630 Wedgewood Drive <br />Ms. Kobel, through an interpreter, stated she has lived in North Olmsted for 46 years and came <br />to let Council know that she feels the maintenance of the City has been terrible. Particularly <br />with regard to snowplowing resident streets like hers at dead -ends and corners. Ms. Kobel <br />stated they plow the snow so far on to her property that she is not able to shovel herself out <br />after the plows have been through. She stated that they have repeatedly ignored her requests <br />not to do so. She also stated that she has had to repair her grass because of the plows. She <br />also feels the City does not pick up the branches causing bare spots, making our town look <br />cheap. Ms. Kobel stated the pavement on Lorain road is awful and it needs to be repaired. She <br />also noted where the sidewalk ends on Lorain Road, she witnessed a woman with a stroller that <br />had to go into the traffic because there were no sidewalks, and feels that needs to be <br />
