<br />• Discussed Resolution 2023-3 A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with
<br />Motorola to purchase fifty (50) Motorola WatchGuard Body Cameras, together with related
<br />technical assistance, for deployment by the North Olmsted Division of Police, at a cost of
<br />$139,569.00 through the State Purchase Program and funded through grant funds from the
<br />Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services and declaring an emergency. Safety Director Scofield
<br />explained that the City received a grant from the State of Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services
<br />in the amount of $139,569.00. That grant funding will be used to purchase the 50 body cameras
<br />for the police department. The legislation was favorably recommended to Council by a vote of 3
<br />to 0, and the Committee concluded at 7:19 p.m.

<br />The Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee met on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 7:19 p.m.
<br />p.m. Present were Committee Members Hemann, Scarl and Limpert and Council Members Williamson,
<br />Glassburn, Madden and Gilchrist, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Director of Economic and
<br />Community Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and
<br />Public Engagement Director Pinchek, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests.
<br />• Discussed Ordinance 2023-8 An Ordinance amending and restating Section 957.01 of Chapter
<br />957 (Alcoholic Beverages on Public Grounds) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North
<br />Olmsted in order to permit beer and wine to be sold and consumed at the "Saturday in the Park
<br />Concert Series," and declaring an emergency. Director Pinchek outlined the plans for this
<br />legislation and after a discussion, many questions remained with regard to who would be selling
<br />and what the breakdown of profits would be. Chairwoman Hemann moved to hold this
<br />legislation in Committee, the motion passed 3-0, and Committee Meeting concluded at 7:28

<br />Finance Director Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community
<br />Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and Public
<br />Engagement Director Pinchek, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests.

<br />profits and who would be selling the alcohol at the Party in Park, Director Pinchek discussed the
<br />breakdown with the Committee. The legislation was favorably recommended to Council by a
<br />vote of 3-0, and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7:45 p.m.
<br />Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee did not have a report but asked for a
<br />moment of personal privilege to welcome Councilman Madden to his first official Council Meeting and
<br />for filling in for Councilman Kelly.
