Council Minutes of 02-07-2023 <br />Mayor Jones added that the Administration will look into his concerns with the light and will work with <br />ODOT to see what can be done to rectify the situation. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2022-106 introduced by Mayor Jones and Council Members Williamson and Gilchrist was <br />given its third reading. An Ordinance Amending Chapter 557 of the General Offenses Code of the City of <br />North Olmsted, entitled "Sale of Cigarettes and Tobacco Products" in order to update regulations for the <br />sale to or possession of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, or other tobacco or alternate nicotine products <br />by individuals under 21 years of age, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Madden and <br />passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Williamson, Madden, Limpert, Gilchrist, Glassburn, Scarl, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-106 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2023-1 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance to make <br />appropriations for Capital Improvements for the City of North Olmsted for the Year ending December <br />31, 2023. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glassburn and <br />passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes Limpert, Glassburn, Hemann, Gilchrist, Williamson, Madden, Scarl <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2023-1 adopted 7 O. <br />Ordinance 20232 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance Amending and <br />Re-establishing Chapter 171 of the Administrative Code entitled "Community Reinvestment" in order to <br />update the standards and protocols for awarding and managing tax abatement, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and <br />passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Williamson, Scarl, Madden, Hemann, Glassburn, Gilchrist <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2023-2 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2023-3 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into a contract with Motorola to purchase fifty (50) Motorola Watchguard Body <br />Cameras, together with related technical assistance, for deployment by the North Olmsted Division of <br />Police, at a cost of $139,569.00 through the State Purchase Program and funded through grant funds <br />from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services and declaring an emergency. <br />
