Council Minutes of 02-07-2023 Mayor Jones added that the Administration will look into his concerns with the light and will work with ODOT to see what can be done to rectify the situation. LEGISLATION Ordinance 2022-106 introduced by Mayor Jones and Council Members Williamson and Gilchrist was given its third reading. An Ordinance Amending Chapter 557 of the General Offenses Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Sale of Cigarettes and Tobacco Products" in order to update regulations for the sale to or possession of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, or other tobacco or alternate nicotine products by individuals under 21 years of age, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Madden and passed 7-0. Roll Call: Yes: Williamson, Madden, Limpert, Gilchrist, Glassburn, Scarl, Hemann No: None Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-106 adopted 7-0. Ordinance 2023-1 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance to make appropriations for Capital Improvements for the City of North Olmsted for the Year ending December 31, 2023. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glassburn and passed 7-0. Roll Call: Yes Limpert, Glassburn, Hemann, Gilchrist, Williamson, Madden, Scarl No: None Motion carried. Ordinance 2023-1 adopted 7 O. Ordinance 20232 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance Amending and Re-establishing Chapter 171 of the Administrative Code entitled "Community Reinvestment" in order to update the standards and protocols for awarding and managing tax abatement, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed 7-0. Roll Call: Yes: Limpert, Williamson, Scarl, Madden, Hemann, Glassburn, Gilchrist No: None Motion carried. Ordinance 2023-2 adopted 7-0. Resolution 2023-3 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Motorola to purchase fifty (50) Motorola Watchguard Body Cameras, together with related technical assistance, for deployment by the North Olmsted Division of Police, at a cost of $139,569.00 through the State Purchase Program and funded through grant funds from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services and declaring an emergency.
