<br />• The North Olmsted Community Council is accepting applications for 2023 Citizen of the Year.
<br />The nomination deadline is April 7f' The nomination form can be obtained from the City
<br />website.
<br />• The opening evening reception for the annual North Olmsted Mayor's Art Show will take place
<br />from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday March 8, 2023, at Old Town Hall.
<br />• The Mayor's State of the City address will be held on Thursday, March 9, at Springvale Ballroom
<br />beginning at 7:00 p.m., the event is free.
<br />• A Business Development Luncheon for North Olmsted Business Leaders and Owners will be held
<br />on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. —1:00 p.m.
<br />Director of Law Gareau:
<br />• Director Gareau updated Council on the progress of the sale of Spruce and Forest, noting it is
<br />scheduled to close on February 28, 2023,

<br />• Director Copfer was not in attendance.
<br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee:
<br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
<br />Present were Committee Members Williamson, Madden and Glassburn and Council Members Hamann,
<br />Limpert, Gilchrist and Scarl, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human
<br />Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Safety Director
<br />Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and Public Engagement Director Pinches, Special Assistant
<br />to the Mayor Massarolo and guests.
<br />• Discussed Resolution 2023-16, A Resolution adopting the Cuyahoga County 2022-2027 All -
<br />Hazards Mitigation plan and further directing the implementation thereof, and declaring an
<br />emergency. Director Scofield explained the All -Hazards Mitigation Plan must be updated every
<br />five years to be compliant with Cuyahoga County, and the legislation was favorably
<br />recommended 3-0.
<br />• The next item discussed was Ordinance 2023-17, An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter
<br />into a purchase agreement with Path Master, Inc. to install 'Glance' GPS Preemption & Priority
<br />Traffic Control Signalization Systems, through the State Purchase Program, at a cost of
<br />$305,635.00 in approved AREA funds and, upon approval of the Board of Control, further
<br />authorizing the Mayor to execute contract documents, and declaring an emergency. Director
<br />Scofield explained that this purchase will be using AREA Funds, noting the GPS program is more
<br />effective and provides greater traffic control, the legislation was favorably recommended 3-0
<br />and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7:08 p. rn.
<br />Councilman Limpert, Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee:
<br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 7:09 p.m.
<br />Present were Committee Members Limpert, Williamson and Hemann and Council Members Glassburn,
<br />Madden, Gilchrist and Scarl, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human
<br />Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Safety Director
<br />Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Recreation and Public Engagement Director Pinchek, Special Assistant
<br />to the Mayor Massarolo and guests.
<br />• Discussed PDC Case N 22-21179 Low Cost Pharmacy, at 26901 Brookpark Extension, to approve a
<br />drive-thru. Director Upton explained that he had been working with the applicant since January,
