Council Minutes of 05-16-2023 <br />Director Gareau addressed Council to state that they could consider legislation to change the penalties, <br />stating that some of the companies may begin to take notice if there is a minimum mandatory penalty. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2023-18 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance Amending <br />Section 1118.13 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted entitled, "Offices and Services", in order to limit the location of specified uses. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and <br />passed 6-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Williamson, Scarl, Madden, Hemann, Gilchrist <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2023-18 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2023-55 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution adopting the <br />Alternative Tax Budget of the City of North Olmsted for the Fiscal Year beginning January 1, 2024, and <br />submitting the same to the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer and its Budget Commission, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. Resolution 2023-55 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2023-57 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution approving the <br />award of a Job Creation Grant to R.E. Warner & Associates, Inc. and further authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a Grant Agreement; and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2023-58 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />acceptance of grant funding awarded by the Cuyahoga County Council in the amount of $35,000.00 to <br />provide for construction of improvements at Springvale Golf Course and Ballroom; further authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into necessary agreements therefore, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2023-59 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance amending the <br />rates of compensation for administrative personnel to add an Information Systems Specialist in the <br />Division of Police for the Year 2023; and otherwise restating the compensation rates and descriptions <br />for various administrative and legislative personnel for the Year 2023, and declaring an emergency, as <br />amended. <br />Ordinance 2023-60 introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading.
