Council Minutes of 08-15-2023 <br />selected in the S.O.Q. process. Council Members Gilchrist, Hemann, Scarl and Williamson voiced their <br />inclinations in support of updating both Chambers and Caucus at the same time, most noting the current <br />system is failing and unreliable. It was also noted that the opportunity to use ARPA monies to fund this <br />project will only come about once, and while the ARPA funds have been judiciously appropriated to City- <br />wide projects, each felt it appropriate to use the ARPA funds to upgrade the failing A/V system in Caucus <br />and Chambers. Council President Brossard advised Council that the Administration currently supports <br />upgrading both rooms as well. Council Members Glassburn and Limpert voiced their concerns with the <br />current legislation. The legislation was favorably recommended by a vote of 5-2, and the meeting <br />concluded at 7:14 p.m. <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 6:46 p.m. Present <br />were Committee Members Williamson, Madden and Glassburn and Council Members Hemann, Limpert, <br />Gilchrist and Scarl, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director <br />Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, <br />Service Director Kearney, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests. <br />• Discussed liquor permit 2976077, FUZZYS 2.0 LLC, DBA FUZZYS TAVERN. After review by the <br />police department and seeing no issues, the liquor permit was not objected to by a vote of 3-0. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to not object to Liquor Permit #2976077. Motion to not object to Liquor Permit #2976077 passed 7-0. <br />• Discussed liquor permit transfer 5339911 to LUCKYS SNACK SHOPPE LLC, and again after no <br />issues voiced by the police department, the liquor permit was not objected to by a vote of 3-0 <br />and the Committee Meeting concluded at 6:48 p.m. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to not object to Liquor Permit Transfer #5339911 LUCKYS SNACK <br />SHOPPE LLC. Motion to not object to Liquor Permit #5339911 passed 7-0. <br />Councilwoman Hemann did not have a committee report, but asked for a moment of personal privilege <br />to thank the VFW for holding their Annual Golf Outing at Springvale this year. Ms. Hemann also thanked <br />the Administration and the Springvale Managers who made accommodations for the VFW to hold their <br />golf outing on a busy Saturday. <br />Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 6:50 p.m. Present were Committee <br />Members Glassburn, Williamson and Limpert and Council Members Hemann, Madden, Gilchrist and <br />Scarl, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human <br />Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Service Director <br />Kearney, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests. <br />• Discussed Resolution 2023-86, a Resolution ratifying and retroactively authorizing the Service <br />Director to purchase from Thorworks Industries, Inc. a Crackpro 125DA Cracksealer and related <br />
