Council Minutes of 10-17-2023 <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to amend Ordinance 2023-94 to correct the acreage of the parcel to be <br />sold. Ordinance 2023-94 amended by a vote of 7-0. <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist, Chairwoman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 6:55 p.m. Present <br />were Committee Members Gilchrist, Hemann, Scarl and Council Members Glassburn, Madden, Council <br />President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human Resources <br />Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, <br />Service Director Kearney, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests. <br />• Discussed the Mayors Appointment to the Arts Commission, Mr. Frank Bolton for the unexpired <br />term of January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024. Mr. Bolton was given the opportunity to <br />introduce himself to Council, and pleasantries were exchanged. Mr. Bolton's appointment was <br />approved by a Committee vote of 3-0. The Committee concluded at 7:06 p.m. Councilwoman <br />Gilchrist moved to approve the appointment of Mr. Frank Bolton to the Arts Commission for the <br />unexpired term of January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024. Frank Bolton's appointment to the Arts Commission, approved for the unexpired term <br />of January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024 passed by a vote of 7-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />None. <br />Connie English <br />5009 E. Park Drive <br />Ms. English came to Council again to state her opposition to the cell tower at the North Olmsted <br />Community Park. She stated that she stands behind her comments with regard to the misinformation <br />given at the June 2r Committee Meeting. Ms. English said she went to see the cell towers in other <br />cities. She feels the whole process has been disingenuous and feels it could have been different had <br />they known about the towers earlier. She said the T -Mobile map shows no dead -zone. She asked if the <br />site selection hierarchy was followed. She continued on with reasons she feels the cell tower does not <br />belong in the park by listing 61 things that she sees out her window. She discussed the origins of the <br />park. <br />
