Council Minutes of 11-08-2023 <br />Resolution 2023-120 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to purchase stone <br />materials and related supplies for the year 2024, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing <br />the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />Resolution 2023-122 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into a two-year contract with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health in the total <br />amount of $11,188.00, each year payment of $5,594.00. <br />Resolution 2023-123 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for the purchase of 25 portable radios from Motorola Solutions, at a cost of <br />$116,649.00, as priced through the State Purchase Program and required by the State of Ohio's MARCS' <br />radio network for deployment by North Olmsted Police Department; and further authorizing the Mayor <br />to execute all contract documents, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2023-124 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor, on behalf of the City, to accept grant funding in the amount of $256,588.00 from the U.S. <br />Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OUP), entitled "Rural and Small Department Violent <br />Crime Reduction Program" in order to expand the pool of police officers trained on the Advanced Crisis <br />Intervention Team (CIT); and further authorizing the Mayor to execute acceptance documentation with <br />the Department of Justice as well as with the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and <br />Education and Analytics, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Madden moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings.
