Council Minutes of 12-19-2023 Roll Call: Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Gilchrist, Madden, Williamson, Scarl No: None Motion carried. Mr. Limpert voted yes with comment that he is looking forward to these improvements and a budget, and hope R continues for more than one year. Connie English approached the podium to ask what the neighborhood beautification project is. Mayor Jones responded the program is something new that the Community Improvement Corporation will be taking on. Council and the Administration have been trying to help neighborhoods struggling with common areas, such as signs, in order to improve those areas. Director Copfer added that the beautification program cost is $25,000.00, and the rest of the funds are to assist with the start-up of the CIC. Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 6-0. Roll Call: Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Gilchrist, Scarl, Williamson, Madden No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2023-146 adopted 6-0. Ordinance 2023-147 introduced by Council President Brossard on behalf of all of Council. An Ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 6-0. Roll Call: Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Madden, Scarl, Gilchrist, Williamson No: None Motion carried. Mr. Limpert voted yes with comment to note that Council is suspending the rules for this legislation to ensure all legislation is able to be included in the last update for the year.
