<br />Councilman Glassburn, Vice Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee provided the
<br />report:
<br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 6:35 p.m. Present
<br />were Committee Members Glassburn and Hamann and Council Members Scarl, Madden, Gilchrist and
<br />Shymske, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Finance Director Copier, Human Resources Director
<br />Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Service Director Kearney, Recreation
<br />and Public Engagement Director Pinchek, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests.
<br />• Discussed Resolution 2024-1. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and
<br />Community Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified
<br />redevelopment firms to facilitate the redevelopment of the former Forest Elementary School
<br />property site into single-family housing and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of
<br />the Board of Control, to enter into a contract upon review and selection of S.O.Q.s. Councilman
<br />Glassburn reported the legislation allows the City to proceed with a redevelopment RFQ for the
<br />property at Forest Elementary. The legislation was favorably recommended by a vote of 2-0,
<br />and the Committee Meeting concluded at 6:48 p.m.
<br />Councilman Limpert, Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee moved to extend
<br />the recommendation from the Planning & Design Commission an additional 30 days regarding
<br />Resolution 2023-121. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 7-0.

<br />Motion carried. The recommendation from the Planning & Design Commission extended an additional
<br />30 days regarding Resolution 2023-121.
<br />Ms. Hemann voted yes with comment to state that the extension is being requested due to some late
<br />planning meetings, vacations and illnesses.
<br />Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee did not have a report, however, he did ask
<br />for a moment of personal privilege to provide a brief update on the Community Improvement
<br />Corporation meeting. Councilman Glassburn reported the CIC by-laws and the City Beautification
<br />project are works -in -progress, and they are beginning some of the economic development aspects of
<br />the organization.
<br />Councilman Start, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee:
<br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 6:48 p.m. Present
<br />were Committee Members Scarl, Hemann and Madden and Council Members Glassburn, Gilchrist, and
<br />Shymske, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Finance Director Copier, Human Resources Director
<br />Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development Upton, Service Director Kearney, Recreation
<br />and Public Engagement Director Pinchek, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests.
<br />• Discussed Liquor Permit transfer 7150036 RMG North Olmsted, LLC., DBA Romano's Macaroni
<br />Grill, located at 25001 Country Club Blvd. Councilman Scarl reported that this is a transfer of
<br />ownership, and further advised that the police did not have any concerns. The Committee
<br />voted 3-0 to not object to Liquor Permit 7150036, and the Committee Meeting concluded at
<br />6:50 p.m.
<br />Councilman Scarl moved to not object to Liquor Permit 7150036. The motion was seconded by
<br />Councilwoman Hemann and passed 7-0.
