Council Minutes of 03-16-2024 <br />Dave Herod <br />5283 Evergreen Drive <br />Mr. Herod came to Council to express his opposition to the cell tower, noting he was also at the meeting <br />on Friday. He believes it to be an eye -sore and is concerned it will negatively affect the health of those <br />around it. <br />Jeff Sturgeon <br />3092 W. 23161 Street <br />Mr. Sturgeon came to Council to ask about the traffic patterns/detours once the Clague Force Main <br />project begins. <br />Service Director Kearney helped walk him through the detours throughout the phases of the project. <br />Councilman Glassburn also asked for clarification on the detours for the first phase of this project. <br />Mike Babinec <br />27981 N. Park Drive <br />Mr. Babinec came to Council to reiterate his comments made at a previous Council meetings regarding <br />the negative effects of a nearby cell tower on property values, and requested a proper property -value <br />assessment. <br />Tony Bougedrayel <br />Independence, OH <br />Mr. Bougedrayel owns the Sunoco gas station at Stearns and Lorain. He noted that he has made <br />improvements to the gas station since buying it in 2012, and is concerned about another mega -station <br />being put in place at the Rite Aid site at the opposite corner. <br />Council President Brossard stated that Council does not wish to respond to hearsay or innuendos, and <br />that at this time, he is not aware of anything being proposed at that site. <br />Councilman Glassburn noted that he also does not know of any proposal for that site. He continued on <br />to state that should there be, steps would need be taken to change the zoning of that site because a gas <br />station is not zoned the same as a pharmacy. <br />Chris Kmiecik <br />23727 Elm Road <br />Ms. Kmiecik came to Council to oppose the cell tower at the park and to state that she is disappointed <br />that the voices of everyone who have come to speak at Council have not been heard. Ms. Kmiecik also <br />stated that she felt Ms. Hemann was disrespectful when speaking to Mr. Erhman. <br />Chuck Massarolo <br />Special Assistant to the Mayor <br />Mr. Massarolo spoke to Council to counter some points made with regard to a cell phone towers effect <br />on property values. <br />
