Compensatory Time/Marimum Accrual. Each employee shall have the right to <br />convert overtime hours into compensatory time at the applicable rate <br />(1.5 x regular hours/2.0 x rate holiday hours) for each overtime hour worked. Employees <br />shall eexrer4 ne be capped at no more than � one hundred twenty (120) hours of <br />eveRireinte compensatory time at any given time. . <br />34-9; 33.02. ReouestlApproval Procedure. Employees may have the right to take compensatory <br />time with a 48-hour advance notice and when the time off does not interfere with the operation <br />of the Service Department. The taking off of such compensatory time shall be subject to the <br />approval of the Service Director or his designee. <br />basis. Additionally, the parties <br />agree that where an employee has been denied the usage of compensatory time on a specific <br />date, he may be offered an alternative day for compensatory time usage within the next thirty <br />(30) days, be offered cash payment for the amount of hours denied, or the employee may <br />withdraw his request jar usage It is the employee's choice in electing any of the offerings. The <br />parties specifically agree that thirty (30) days constitutes a reasonable time period for <br />satisfying a request for compensatory time usage under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Except <br />as otherwise specifically restricted by this Agreement, the Employer retains all rights to <br />manage the administration of compensatory time under federal law, which includes, but is not <br />limited to the right to schedule such time off or payoff compensatory time banks. <br />34,98 33.03. Annual Conversation. An employee shall be paid for unused, accumulated <br />compensatory time at his or her current rate of pay plus longevity at the end of each calendar <br />4880-6940-6880. v.2 <br />
