Council Minutes of 02-20-2024 <br />further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a consulting <br />agreement with the professional selected in the S.O.Q process, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2024-5 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the <br />Administration to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified professionals to consult on <br />the development of a Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) Travel Plan, in partnership with the North Olmsted <br />School District; and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter <br />into a consulting agreement with the professional selected in the S.O.Q. process. <br />Resolution 2024-7 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the <br />Director of Recreation and Public Engagement to advertise for bids for the purchase of a Greensmower <br />lawn mower to be used at Springvale Golf Course, as detailed in specifications on file, and authorizing <br />the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for same with the lowest <br />and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Hemann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings. An Ordinance authorizing <br />the Mayor to accept on behalf of the City of North Olmsted the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council <br />(NOPEC) 2024 Energized Community Grant. <br />Resolution 2024-9 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution approving of <br />and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Collective Bargaining Agreement with Ohio Council 8, Local <br />2681, of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees ("AFSCME"), for the City <br />Service Unit, for the period January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings.
