Council Minutes of 03-05-2024 LEGISLATION Resolution 2024-4 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Administration to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified professionals to serve as the City's Arborist to enforce the provisions of Chapter 950, "Tree Preservation and Management'; and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a consulting agreement with the professional selected in the S.O.Q process, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Shymske moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Madden and passed 6-0. Roll Call: Yes: Shymske, Madden, Limpert, Scarf, Gilchrist, Glassburn No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2024-4 was adopted 6-0. Resolution 2024-5 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the Administration to solicit Statements of Qualifications (S.O.Q.) from qualified professionals to consult on the development of a Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) Travel Plan, in partnership with the North Olmsted School District; and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a consulting agreement with the professional selected in the S.O.Q. process. Ordinance 2024-8 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept on behalf of the City of North Olmsted the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) 2024 Energized Community Grant. Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 6-0. Roll Call: Yes: Glassburn, Limpert, Gilchrist, Madden, Shymske, Scarf No: None Motion carried. Ordinance 2024-8 adopted 6-0. Ordinance 2024-12 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance to authorize the execution of Then and Now Certificates by the Finance Director and the payment of amounts due for various purchase orders and declaring an emergency.
