Council Minutes of 03-05-2024 Resolution 2024-13 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the 2024 Street Resurfacing Project, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2024-14 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide cracksealing on various streets at various locations in the City, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2024-15 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets and locations in the City, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2024-16 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Department of Public Service to advertise for bids for diesel fuel and gasoline products for use by the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, after approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract to purchase such products, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 6-0. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of contracts for the transportation and disposal of bio -solids from the Wastewater Treatment Plant to an O.E.P.A. approved site, another N.P.D.E.S. permit holder, or other authorized sites and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into agreements with the two lowest and best bidders following approval by the Board of Control, as Amended.
