weals: Each employee shall receive time and one-half (1'/:) their regular hourly wage for all <br />hours worked on a designated holiday. If any of the bargaining unit members work on <br />Thanksgiving or Christmas Day, he/she shall be compensated at two (2) times their regular <br />hourly rate of pay (double time compensation) for all hours worked within the twenty-four (24) <br />hour period of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. <br />4.93 16.04 Personal Days. In addition to the above holidays, a regular full-time employee shall <br />be entitled to observe three (3) personal days as a holiday with pay covered by the terms of this <br />Agreement. A regular full-time employee hired between July I" and December 31" of any given <br />year shall be entitled to observe one and one-half (I Y:) personal days as a holiday with pay covered <br />by the terms of this Agreement. The personal days shall be scheduled by mutual agreement <br />between the employee and his supervisor. <br />16.93 16.05 Holiday Pay Eligibility. To be entitled to holiday pay, employees must work his the <br />last regular regularly scheduled workday before, on if applicable, and ike his first regularly <br />scheduled work day after the holiday, unless excused by the Employer. 1f any of the abeve <br />be observed as the . (Moved Above in 16.02) <br />ARTICLE 18 NEW AND CHANGED JOBS <br />18.01 Notice of New/Changed Jobs. The parties agree that the jobs presently included in the <br />bargaining unit are such that the typical office and maintenance equipment is currently being <br />utilized. It is not contemplated that there will be any substantial changes in the method of <br />operations, tools or equipment. However, there may be new positions created as support to existing <br />positions in the area of computer technology requiring programming skills or the like. If any such <br />position is established, the Employer shall describe the content of thejob and shall establish a pay <br />structure, the job content, etc., of thejob. <br />18.02 Meetines. If the Union so elects, it may request to meet and discuss any aspects of the <br />information provided to it by the Employer, and if such a request is made the parties agree to <br />meet and discuss the matter. <br />18.03 If the Union is not in agreement with the rate of pay for the job, it can file a <br />grievance at Step 3 of the grievance procedure within thirty (30) days following the termination of <br />discussions concerning the rate of pay. If the grievance is arbitrated, the arbitrator shall have the <br />authority to recommend the proper rate of pay for thejob or the arbitrator shall recommend placing <br />the job within the rate of pay for that classification. Any decision of the arbitrator shall be <br />submitted to the Council of the City of North Olmsted. The Council shall have thirty (30) days to <br />review said decision within which time they may, by a two-thirds (2/3) vote (or 5 votes) of all <br />members of Council, reject the arbitrator's recommendation. If the Council fails to reject the <br />recommendation by the required vote, then the arbitrator's recommendation shall become final <br />and binding and the rate of pay shall be retroactive to the commencement of discussions between <br />the Union and the Employer in accordance with this paragraph.
