Council Minutes of 05-21-2024 Roll Call: Yes: Hemann, Scarl, Limpert, Gilchrist, Glassburn, Shymske No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2024-42 adopted 6-0. Resolution 2024-43 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement to enter into a contract with Morgan Services, Inc. for linen laundry services at Springvale Ballroom, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2024-44 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to solicit Statements of Qualifications for architectural firms to perform an historic preservation plan and architectural assessment for the Old Town Hall pursuant to Secretary of the Interior Professional Qualifications Standards for Architectural History. Ordinance 2024-45 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending and reestablishing Section 139.99(b) of Chapter 139 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Department of Public Safety," for the purposes of re - titling an existing position of "Secretary" to "Administrative Assistant' and, further, creating a part time position of "Property Room Manager' both reporting to the Chief of Police, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2024-46 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending and reestablishing Section 139.99 of Chapter 139 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Department of Public Safety," for the purposes of amending the organization chart for the Division of Police by adding language "(Up to 6)" Lieutenants, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2024-49 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit Requests for Qualifications (R.F.Q.$) for Civil Service Testing companies for entry-level and promotional testing. Resolution 2024-50 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution approving the award of a Job Creation Grant to J.L. Moore, Inc. and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Grant Agreement; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Scarl and passed 5-0-1. Roll Call: Yes: Limpert, Scarl, Shymske, Hemann, Gilchrist No: None Abstain: Glassburn Motion carried. Councilman Limpert voted yes with comment to note that this legislation was discussed in Committee this week.
