Council Minutes of 05-21-2024 <br />Connie English, 5009 E. Park Drive. Ms. English asked the Administration where the grant money comes <br />from. To which Director Upton responded that the grant comes from a percentage of the income taxes <br />paid by the employees that locate here. Ms. English asked Director Upton how much the amount is, to <br />which Director Upton responded that the raw percentage is 40% over a 10 -year period. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Scarl and passed 5- <br />0-1. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Limpert, Scarl, Gilchrist, Hemann, Shymske <br />No: None <br />Abstain: Glassburn <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2024-50 adopted 5-0-1. <br />Ordinance 2024-51 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance amending <br />Section 1118.13 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted entitled, "Offices and Services", in order to establish Subsection (G) to limit the location of <br />specified uses. <br />Ordinance 2024-52 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance <br />amending Section 1139.03 of the North Olmsted Zoning Code entitled "Schedule of Uses" to conditional <br />permit "Thrift Stores" in the B-3 Zoning Districts. <br />Ordinance 2024-53 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance <br />establishing the definition of "Thrift Store" in Section 1115.11 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Definitions S -T,", for the purpose of adding <br />definitions for uses associated with retail sales by thrift stores. <br />Resolution 2024-54 was introduced by Mayor Jones, placed on first reading and suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and formal committee review requested. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor <br />to enter into a one year contract with Stryker Medical for the maintenance and service of the Fire <br />Department's Stryker Medical Equipment for the price of $25,865.50, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Scarl moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal Committee review. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 6-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Scarl, Hemann, Shymske, Limpert, Gilchrist, Glassburn <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilwoman Hemann voted yes with comment to note that this is the only provider for this <br />equipment. <br />Councilman Scarl moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br />6-0. <br />
