Council Minutes of 05-21-2024 Connie English, 5009 E. Park Drive. Ms. English asked the Administration where the grant money comes from. To which Director Upton responded that the grant comes from a percentage of the income taxes paid by the employees that locate here. Ms. English asked Director Upton how much the amount is, to which Director Upton responded that the raw percentage is 40% over a 10 -year period. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Scarl and passed 5- 0-1. Roll Call: Yes: Limpert, Scarl, Gilchrist, Hemann, Shymske No: None Abstain: Glassburn Motion carried. Resolution 2024-50 adopted 5-0-1. Ordinance 2024-51 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance amending Section 1118.13 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Offices and Services", in order to establish Subsection (G) to limit the location of specified uses. Ordinance 2024-52 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance amending Section 1139.03 of the North Olmsted Zoning Code entitled "Schedule of Uses" to conditional permit "Thrift Stores" in the B-3 Zoning Districts. Ordinance 2024-53 was introduced by Mayor Jones and placed on first reading. An Ordinance establishing the definition of "Thrift Store" in Section 1115.11 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Definitions S -T,", for the purpose of adding definitions for uses associated with retail sales by thrift stores. Resolution 2024-54 was introduced by Mayor Jones, placed on first reading and suspension of the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review requested. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with Stryker Medical for the maintenance and service of the Fire Department's Stryker Medical Equipment for the price of $25,865.50, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Scarl moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal Committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 6-0. Roll Call: Yes: Scarl, Hemann, Shymske, Limpert, Gilchrist, Glassburn No: None Motion carried. Councilwoman Hemann voted yes with comment to note that this is the only provider for this equipment. Councilman Scarl moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 6-0.
