Council Minutes of 06-04-2024 7 <br /> of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Department of Public Safety," for the purposes of re-titling an <br /> existing position of "Secretary" to "Administrative Assistant" and, further, creating a part time position <br /> of"Property Room Manager" both reporting to the Chief of Police, and declaring an emergency. <br /> Councilman Scarl moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br /> 7-0. <br /> Roll Call: <br /> Yes:Scarl, Hemann, Limpert, Shymske, Glassburn, Madden, Gilchrist <br /> No: None <br /> Motion carried. Ordinance 2024-45 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2024-46 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. An Ordinance amending and <br /> reestablishing Section 139.99 of Chapter 139 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of <br /> the City of North Olmsted entitled "Department of Public Safety," for the purposes of amending the <br /> organization chart for the Division of Police by adding language "(Up to 6)" Lieutenants, and declaring an <br /> emergency. <br /> Councilman Scarl moved for adoption.The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br /> 5-2. <br /> Roll Call: <br /> Yes:Scarl, Hemann, Madden, Gilchrist, Shymske <br /> No: Limpert,Glassburn <br /> Motion carried. Ordinance 2024-46 adopted 5-2. <br /> Councilman Limpert voted no with comment, stating that while he supports the Chief to have flexibility, <br /> he does not find the legislation to be written in a manner he feels is satisfactory. <br /> Councilman Glassburn voted no with comment, stating that he understands the desire for flexibility, but <br /> he does not feel that changing the organizational chart in this manner is the way to do it. <br /> Resolution 2024-49 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution authorizing the <br /> Director of Human Resources to solicit Requests for Qualifications (R.F.Q.$) for Civil Service Testing <br /> companies for entry-level and promotional testing. <br /> Councilman Scarl moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed <br /> 7-0. <br /> Roll Call: <br /> Yes:Scarl, Hemann, Gilchrist, Limpert, Madden, Shymske, Glassburn <br /> No: None <br /> Motion carried. Resolution 2024-49 adopted 7-0. <br /> Ordinance 2024-28 introduced by Mayor Jones and Councilman Limpert was given its second reading. <br /> An Ordinance Amending Section 1101.02 entitled "Major Subdivisions; Procedural Requirements" of <br /> Chapter 1101 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted <br /> entitled "Subdivision Regulations" in order to eliminate the street length provision when a cul-de-sac is <br /> planned as set forth in Section 1101.02(d)(2)(E), as Amended. <br />
