• Last on the agenda was Resolution 2024-86, which authorizes a three-year contract <br />with the City of Olmsted Falls for police and fire dispatch services. This resolution <br />mirrors the previous one with the Township, and that also was favorably <br />recommended by council by a vote of 3-0. The Committee concluded 8:45 p.m. with <br />emphasis on the importance of timely execution to ensure the readiness of our <br />dispatch center by January 1, 2025, and that concludes my report, Mr. President. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Thank you. Councilwoman Gilchrist, Chairwoman of the Streets and Transportation <br />Committee, do you have a report this evening? <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist: <br />I do not have a report, Mr. President, thank you. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Thank you. Councilman Madden, Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee, <br />do you have a report this evening? <br />Councilman Madden: <br />Yes, Mr. President, thank you. The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on <br />Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 6:54 p.m. in the Caucus room, to discuss the Mayor's desire to <br />appoint Mr. Keegan Radeff to the Tax Incentive Review Council for the unexpired term that <br />runs from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2024. Present were Committee Members <br />Madden, Gilchrist, and Shymske, and Council members Glassburn, Hemann, and Scarl. <br />Finance, Economic Development, Safety, Service, Recreation, Special Assistant to the Mayor, <br />Clerk of Council, and guests. <br />• Mr. Radeff introduced himself to the Directors and Council Members present and <br />provided us with some background on himself. He spent six years in the Air National <br />Guard, graduated from Kent State University in 2017 with an Accounting Degree, <br />moved to North Olmsted in 2020, and has a passion for public service. <br />• Mr. Radeff also is a licensed CPA and obtained a certificate as a government finance <br />manager, which covers federal, state, and local government finances. He's worked <br />for three years with the IRS and currently works as an accountant too, for the <br />Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. Economic Development Director Upton <br />shared with council that the functions of the Tax Incentive Review Council deal with <br />reviewing of TIF projects and community reinvestment abatements to determine <br />compliance and making recommendations if necessary to bring projects into <br />compliance. <br />• Mr. Radeff's background in accounting and particularly government finance, make <br />him a good candidate for the position being filled. Mr. Madden made a motion to <br />favorably recommend Mr. Keegan Radeffs appointment to the Tax Incentive Review <br />Council for the unexpired term that runs through December 31st of 2024. The <br />motion was seconded by Ms. Gilchrist and the committee voted three to zero to <br />favorably recommend Mr. Radeff for the position.
