Amount/Schedule. Employees hiFed after jwtuan, 1, 1999 shall, <br />I receive longevity in accordance with the following schedules on their anniversary date, <br />which shall be computed into their overtime rate. No employee shall suffer a reduction in the <br />amount received due to being placed on this scale. <br />$500.00 after employee completes five (5) years <br />$1,000.00 after employee completes ten (10) years <br />$1,500.00 after employee completes fifteen years (15) years <br />$2,000 after employee completes twenty (20) years <br />$2,500 after employee completes twenty-five (25) years <br />SECTION 3. Lateral Transfers. Employees having prior service may receive longevity based <br />upon the above schedule and receive credit for years of prior service credit accepted by the City, <br />including but not limited to the date of transfer to the City, as set forth above. This provision for <br />Lateral Transfers shall affect longevity only and shall not alter the date of hire or seniority of <br />said employees relative to any other benefits or preferences, particularly with respect to the <br />scheduling of vacations or other time off to be determined by the Chief of Police. <br />28 <br />4882-1615-2807, v.5 <br />
